Scottish heritage

My family immigrated in the late eighteenth century from Berwick upon Tweed in Scotland,

to Gothenburg in Sweden. Not out of need or poverty, but to take part in the prosperous development of business and shipping that took place in Gothenburg. To put it very simple, the Dutch built the canals, the Germans the houses, the Englishmen and scots did the business. Names like Dickson, Gibson, Carnegie are still famous today.

Back in Scotland, the Lyon family is included in the Farquharson clan.
